The ninth year of NATO Days in Ostrava will include several significant innovations. One of the most important novelties will represent the extension of the most attractive part of the program, the show at Leos Janacek Ostrava Airport, to two days.

Visitors to the Saturday show of NATO Days in Ostrava could by cycling on the Orange Bicycle of CEZ Foundation contribute to children’s homes in Opava and Havirov. CEZ Foundation had set aside 200,000 Czech crowns for this sporty-charitable event.

The eighth year of the unique show, NATO Days in Ostrava, just culminated at Leos Janacek Ostrava Airport. In spite of adverse weather, the all-day show, which featured displays of military technique including the most modern combat aircraft from nine countries, attracted approximately 40,000 visitors.

The prime attraction of the eighth NATO Days in Ostrava will be the third biggest transport aircraft in the world – the An-124 Ruslan strategic transport aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.

Visitors to this year’s NATO Days in Ostrava will get the chance to see the largest presentation of Polish military and law enforcement units in the event’s history. Along with the Air Force, the Land Forces, and the Police counter-terrorist unit, Poland has just confirmed it will be sending its Border Guard unit from Raciborz.
