The Prison Service of the Czech Republic is going to present itself also at a jubilee tenth year of NATO Days in Ostrava at the Mošnov Airport. Servicemen of the Prison Service are besides static displays going to present highly attractive dynamic display of protection of an ambushed escort convoy.

The risk of employment of the weapons of mass destruction (chemical, biological and nuclear) is one of the main threats, which we face today. There is a specially team of the US Army trained exactly against this „dirty warfare”, which is going to present its capabilities. It is going to be the first show of a US Army ground troops on the NATO Days in Ostrava.

This year anniversary NATO Days in Ostrava will again offer a dominant static display, which will no doubt be one of the biggest attractions in the 10-year history of the show – a legendary heavy strategic bomber B-52 Stratofortress of the United States Air Force.

German tanks have been among the world elite in this type of military equipment for very long time. Tradition of German tank school can be tracked since the World War II, when Tigers and Panthers decimated their opponents on European battlefield. On the NATO Days visitors will have the opportunity to see the follower of these famous war machines – Leopard 1 from the collection of the Military Historic Institute.

In september of this year it will be the third time, when visitors of NATO Days in Ostrava will have the opportunity to see amazing show of Dutch F-16 Demo Team. As in previous years, it promises the outstanding aerobatic spectacle.

This year’s NATO Days in Ostrava will welcome the members of Romania Air Force. Althgough last year there was presentation of medium cargo aircraft C-130 Hercules, this time our Romanian guests are going to show its new light cargo aircraft C-27 Spartan and very little known trainer IAR-99.

Polish Air Force is a traditional participant of NATO Days in Ostrava and spectators already had the opportunity to watch many types of aircrafts, which our northern neighbour operates. This year Siły Powietrzne are showing MiG-29 fighter jet, Su-22 fighter bomber and C-295 tactical transport aircraft.

NATO Days in Ostrava will again offer to its visitors a presentation of Training Command – Military Academy in Vyskov (TC – MA). Its personnel are about to present wide spectrum of techniques on both static and dynamic display.

The United Kingdom is going to take part in NATO Days in Ostrava for the eight time. A Tornado F3 fighter plane will come to its historically last show outside the British Isles, which has been a regular participant of our show since 2003.

Airplanes from RAF Lakenheat base are every time one of the main attractions at NATO Days in Ostrava. An American HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter is coming from this base to Mošnov this year.
